Every day, Uber has been implementing new security features in its services, with the aim of making it more difficult for its drivers and delivery people to use Fake GPS. Recently, a new update has been giving many drivers and delivery people a headache, sometimes even harming those who work without using Fake GPS.
Below are two possible messages from Uber that will prevent you from going online until the issue is resolved.
⚠️Go Online From A Different Device Unable To Authenticate.⚠️
The above message is directly related to rooted phone, mock location enabled, old Play Store, unlocking Bootloader, changing Android ID and other modifications.
A possible solution to this problem, if you have not made modifications to the phone or the system, would be to update the Uber and Play Store applications, also update the phone system if updates are available.
To correct this message and go back online on Uber, if you have made changes to your phone and Android system, such as unlocking Bootloader, Root, Mock Location activated, using Fake GPS and others, you must revert all changes made to phone or system Android.
⚠️Authenticate your driver’s device.⚠️
Unlike the first message shown above, this message is directly related to your Uber account and your new Android device. Generally, after logging into your Uber account on a device, it is linked using the device’s ID and other unique information. When trying to log into your account on a different device, the chance of you encountering this message is very high. Apparently, only on Android devices in regions such as France, Portugal, Brazil, India, Netherlands, which, so far it has been reported to our team, are experiencing this problem.
A possible solution to this problem is to follow the instructions on the Uber messaging page, sending a clear photo of your face and showing your phone open in the Settings, About Phone screen. After forwarding the photo, simply send a message to support requesting authentication of your device. No matter how much she responds with a message saying that your phone has modifications (Root, Bootloader Unlock, Mock Location, etc.), be persistent and insist that authenticate your device and you can use Uber again.
